Privacy Policy — Fincal

Summary

Fincal is a personal finance calculator. The numbers you enter — loan amounts, interest rates, investment values, and every calculation result — stay on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. You do not need an account to use Fincal.

We use a small amount of standard third-party tooling (Google Firebase and Google AdMob) to keep the app stable and free. This page explains exactly what that involves.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect or transmit the financial figures you type into the calculators.
• We do not require an account, name, email, or phone number to use the app.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Your calculation history and saved scenarios are stored locally on your device only (in the app's on-device database). They remain there until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app.

Information collected by third-party services

To operate and improve the app, Fincal uses the following Google services, which may collect limited data automatically:

1. Firebase Analytics (Google)

Anonymous usage statistics, for example which calculator was used and basic settings of a calculation (such as the loan method or term length). It does not receive the monetary amounts you enter. Firebase also collects standard technical information such as an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version, and approximate region (derived from IP address).

2. Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Crash and stability reports, including the device state and operating system at the time of a crash. This helps us fix bugs.

3. Google AdMob

Displays advertising in the app. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA / Google's Advertising ID) to show and measure ads. See "Advertising & your choices" below.

Advertising & your choices

• European Economic Area, UK & Switzerland: when required, we show a Google-certified consent form (Google UMP) before any personalized ads. You may decline; you can still use the app.
• iOS: Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks for your permission before any tracking identifier is used. If you decline, you still get non-personalized ads.
• You can re-open the consent options at any time from Settings → Manage ad consent in the app.
• You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

Children

Fincal is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data retention

• On-device data (history, saved scenarios, preferences) stays until you delete it or uninstall.
• Analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to their applicable retention policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Because we do not hold an account or your entered figures, you can:

• delete on-device data directly in the app (clear history, delete saved scenarios) or by uninstalling;
• opt out of personalized ads as described above;
• contact us for any other request at the email below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
